Stories don't deliver themselves…

Every Thursday, I drop a story worth your time — Iowa politics, accountability journalism, and the stuff that doesn't make the evening news.

I’m Zachary Oren Smith, political correspondent for Iowa Starting Line and co-host of the Dingus of the Week Podcast. I’m your friendly neighborhood reporter. And Paper Route is where it all comes together.

Paid subscribers get the full weekly dispatch — original reporting and accountability journalism, every Thursday.

Free subscribers get the stories too good to keep behind a gate.
